The luggage allowance on the flights to and from International flight is 23-30kg, with maximum of 2 bags per passenger. Baggage allowance for internal flights within Mongolia is 15kg, with a $2 /kg excess charge.
Sunhat, sunglasses, strong sunblock cream, good mosquito repellent, rain jacket, bath towels and bathing staff for the ger camps. Warm clothes will be needed for any time of the year, even mid of September evenings can be chilly. Camera, binoculars, books, magazines, your favorite snacks
in May till end October. This is the convenient and suitable time of the year to travel to Mongolia in terms of weather. Early May can see snowfall, but not cold.
June weather is good and usually dry throughout the central. The northern areas are cold.
July is the time to enjoy for Naadam Festival. This is also the peak tourist season.
July and August is best season to travel Northern Mongolia and Western Mongolia.
September is best season to travel southern Mongolia Gobi Desert.
October is shoulder but we have chance to see Golden Eagle Hunters Festival in Western Mongolia.
The cold season is between November and February. Mongolian winter is interesting to travel by short trips or weekend trips for dog sledging in National Parks around Ulaanbaatar and also have chance to see 1000 of Camels participate in the Camel Festival in southern of Mongolia. One of our most popular festivals in winter is two-humped Thousand Bactrian Camel Festival. This Festival has been organized every since 1997 in the Gobi Desert. Another wonderful and amaizing nature, the frozen world ice festival has been organized since 2002 in the Northern Mongolia, Khuvsgul Lake. There are cultural activities hold such as ice skating, horse sledging race, ice sumo and traditional mongolian winter game ancle bone shooting on the ice and competitions. Nomadic reindeer herders and shamans show off their cultural performances, such as arts, music and shaman rituals.
The local currency is the Tugrik. At the time of writing, 1USD =3525MNT, rated 1 Jan 2023 There is no limit on the amount of foreign currency that can be imported. ATM cash machines are available at banks with major hotels, shops, and main streets. Credit card is Good. VISA, Master card, American Express are accepted everywhere in Ulaanbaatar.
All nationalities require a full passport that must be valid for 1 year beyond the intended, length of stay. It is your responsibility to have the correct personal documents and obtain your own visa, if one is necessary, in accordance with the regulations of the country you are to visit and require a single entry visa for Mongolia. Visas, except transit visas are issued by the embassy's organization concerned. The normal time required for a visa to be processed is one week, for a transit visa 48 hours without any authorizations.

One month tourist visas can be obtained on-the-spot at arrival in Mongolia (airport and railway customs clearance), although Mongolia has consulates in many countries so it is preferable to obtain a visa in advance. We will advise you how to obtain necessary visas at the time of booking, the visa situation is subject to change from time-to-time.

It is fair to say that Mongolia is a land of extremes: winter temperatures drop to minus 40 degrees C in many parts of the country and climb to over 40 degrees in the summer in the Gobi desert. In the summer months from May to September temperatures reach a pleasant 25-30degrees C and the countryside springs to life in a sea of greenery. Summer is also the wet season and rainy days are not uncommon.

GC – Ger camps – These are professionally managed tourist camps where accommodation is traditional Mongolian ger. Gers accommodate 2-4 persons, usually on a same sex or twin share basis. Bedding is provided. The fully equipped sanitary facilities in conformity with the international tourist service standard such as hot and cold showers and comfortable toilet separate building. Showers and lavatories constructed to make guests comfortable and fresh in the wilderness but in a walking distance outside.
Food in Ulaanbaatar is excellent choices, and includes Mongolian, Indian, French, Asian, Mexican and European restaurants.
Most ger camps serve western style meals with in Asian influence. Breakfast are typically cereals, toast, sausages, egg and hot dish. Lunches are typically soup and main course, dessert and salad. Dinners are variety of vegetable, meat, rice, potatoes and pasta dish. Mongolian food is very meat orientated. Vegetarians regularly travel to Mongolia and are catered for on request.
Transport
Local transport will be in sturdy 4WD vans- Mitsubishi Delica Space Gear, Тoyota Alphard8 Hyundai Starex, Hyundai County bus and Jeeps-Lexus, Nissan& Toyota Land Cruiser. These vehicles are ubiquitous to the Mongolian country side and are ideal for the journeys.
